How do you keep the attention of 24 tweens and young teenagers for 6 hours? You talk to them about money and their future.
June 23, 2008. Georgia—The Newnan Summit YMCA hosted a workshop for their Teen Center group that featured Kidz 4 Money’s MindSet of Wealth® on Monday. This one-year old beautiful facility offers the Newnan community swimming, basketball, weight training and an assortment of activities and facilities. During the hours that these tweens and teens would normally enjoy a full range of fun, on this day, they enthusiastically participated in a journey through the world of finances.
Within minutes of the session, the group was engulfed in a discussion of the current economical climate and other social concerns. Soon after, details of how money works in America and the power of suggestion kept the young group looking for more. After the lunch break, the young group anxiously hurried to their seats to begin the second half of the session.
Director, Julie Durden of the Summit YMCA, expressed her complete satisfaction with the involvement of the young group as well as her participating son's involvement. She went on to state the huge need for more in-depth lessons in financial and life skills such as Kidz 4 Money’s package.
Lattice Hardwick, CEO of Kidz 4 Money, stated, “I just love to see those young eyes light up and minds start to turn.”
Kidz 4 Money has designed complete workshops for tweens, teens, and parents on financial literacy, wealth building, and MindSet of Wealth®.
